I can do it if it's OK with you, or I can review your submission.

My primary interest is seeing this into extras: if you have spare
cycles to maintain the package I am more than happy stop having a look
at it (apart, of course, if you will need an official review).

Neal said, though, I'd want to wait until there is a stable x86_64
version. Unless we agree to ExcludeArch x86_64 for now? Or perhaps
even make it an ix86 ExclusiveArch, if it's (as is probable) not
working on PPC either

I can't test PPC, but if deps are in the repo, I think there are more
chances for PPC to work than for x86_64

However, waiting for the new release or going for the review is your
call: I'd wait for the next release in order to decide which path is
better
