You requested a feature, the upstream developer for the software in question doesn't agree that this feature should be in the software. End of discussion. Feel free to fork yum if you really think you need the feature, and then try to convince other folks to use your fork. Now if we were ignoring you, you would request it many times, maybe even file an RFE in various bugzillas, that would sit untouched for time out of mind. That didn't happen here did it? So now you're going to run off in a huff because the upstream developer doesn't agree with your feature request?
