More often than not I've found the truncated build.log to be too
truncated to be sufficiently useful. Ignoring the current problem
of entirely missing logs, can we not attach the full *uneditted*
build.log + root.log to bugzilla in general ?

Yes, build.log can be quite large, but I've seen way bigger things
attached to BZ, so it ought to cope surely ? I prefer plain text
attachments, but if size is really a concern, even an xz compressed
log is better than a truncated log.
