Whenever technically possible, we add our new Python macros to EPEL 7+.
Sometimes, we even backport them to plain RHEL 8+.
This can (and will) be done for the proposed "import test" macro.
I can assume the new import test macro will be included in Centos stream 9
macros, right?
Yes, once it is available in Fedora Rawhide, I'll continue with:
- Fedora 34
- Fedora 33
- CentOS Stream 9
- EPEL 8
- EPEL 7
Later, maybe, it might (or not) be added to RHEL 8 proper (and removed from
EPEL 8).
That is the normal procedure for new Python macros that are backwards compatible.
