The BTRFS proponents claim that the subvolume technology allows you to have flexible partitioning, so that you can dynamically create whatever partition layout is appropriate for your situation. Nobody is claiming that desktop partition scheme ('model') should be forced onto servers. Yes, you are right. It’s not about the konkrete partition scheme but the rationale behind it. As a server admin, I'm all about stability, taking precautions in case of errors, recovery, less about flexibility. On my workstation, flexibility is a high priority. _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
