Install Postfix, and when Anaconda creates the first user account, have it add a mapping from root to that username in /etc/aliases. Then a variety of MUAs can pick up the emails from /var/spool/mail. But I guess those who want fewer daemons won't be happy to see Postfix added just for a chance to be warned about an imminent breakdown. Björn Persson
