Wow, I can see lots of good uses for that.  Something that's really
relevant is that we're adding a policy for deprecated packages to the
packaging guidelines which will involve adding "Provides: deprecated()"
to packages when they become deprecated.  If there is a quick hook for
noticing when that is added to a spec and then notifying those who need
to know, then that would be great.

The alternative, of course, is to pull the specfiles and run a report.
We used to do a lot of that but not so much these days.
