FYI, you can exclude packages, even "mandatory" ones, from any group, even 
@core, in your appliance kickstart. E.g., the Kannolo live kickstart 
excludes selinux-policy-targeted and audit, which are mandatory in @core, 
and firewalld, which is default in @core (and which is replaced with ufw in 
Kannolo).
