I see only arts-devel in the BuildRequires list, and that's actually worse than esound, because it requires running another sound server from KDE 3 era on top of PulseAudio (which gets autospawned, but it unnecessarily eats resources), whereas the ESD protocol is emulated by PulseAudio. I'd suggest dropping arts support (to squelch dependency bloat) and reenabling esound now that it got picked up (unless there's ALSA support which works with the PulseAudio ALSA plugin, then you can drop both arts and esound).
