I'm still pretty sure we are doing better introducing subsystem
transitions now than the pain of the initial udev transition way back
in the distance past. But that's just a personal feeling, I don't have
a quantitative metric that I can point to to describe a trendline for
subsystem transition pain with an eye towards historical perspective.
I'm none-to-pleased with the level of unsupported nostalgia in the
discussion as rhetorical device however. It's not an effective debate
tool especially when this project has a history of rapid development.
