It has never worked reliably for me either. I had to write a koji debuginfo
scrapper script to get good traces

(grep an abrt backtrace for missing dsos and feed it to
http://nim.fedorapeople.org/koji-hammer/koji-debuginfo-install )

Even then it has been rather depressing to notice that after waiting ages for
all the missing debuginfos to download from koji, the result was usually not
used because by painfully decoded backtrace would be deduped in bugzilla
against an incomplete bug report.
