It will be broken forever, since the kernel team can't support it, from what I hear.We should just remove hibernation support from the Fedora kernel.No point in haggling about an easy way to opt-in to a feature that is not supported.
Well, let's leave the decision on Fedora kernel developers :)
From my point of view, having the hibernation support enabled in kernel doesn't hurt anything. GNOME shouldn't do it by default if it's not supported. If some user wants to hibernate, he should be able to. Disabling something in kernel entirely because GNOME chooses to do it by default anyway is not okay.
Also, I need to agree with Adam here, I don't see any disadvantages of using hybrid-sleep.
