Thanks to this thread I discovered tuned and must admit that it has improved the battery life of my laptop. You could add tuned profile selection like cockpit on GNOME tweak tool energy tab? Following the line of discussion would be the best solution since GNOME tweak tool does not come in the default installation and profile selection is the simplest perspective.
