In 2014, and for the first time, global digital sales exceeded CD sales: <http://www.ifpi.org/news/Global-digital-music-revenues-match-physical-format-sales-for-first-time> Ergo, there are plenty of people still buying and owning CDs. There's no indication of what percentage of these sales are to people who use computers, unfortunately, but it seems fair to assume a substantial percentage of the buyers do. (BTW, indicators are the CD share of the market will slide further in 2015, the year just ended.) And of course, this does not speak to how many users have an existing CD library. -- Paul W.
