Mostly in agreement with this and the rest of the thread, except that I would keep Shotwell the default if Debarshi doesn't see GNOME Photos as being ready. Churning from Shotwell to gthumb then to gnome-photos in a release or two hardly makes the right statement to users outside of this list.
