Yes this sounds like the bug, so my upstream bug is a duplicate and yes when I tested things from rawhide the problem still occurred.  It's been a bit difficult to use GNOME at the moment as both the Wayland and X11 sessions have their own problems.  With Wayland I get these system hangs and with the X11 session the mouse randomly disappears.  Hopefully a fix for the Wayland issue can be backported to F23 so I can start using it again.
