 From my point of view, Liberation is a poor default choice for document 
text since it lacks some important glyphs for East European languages 
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=440992), here DejaVu is the 
*only* option.

In the mean time I looked closely at Droid Sans, and neither it has full 
coverage, missing just one important (for Romanian language) glyph, "ț".
