As I look at this from a RH perspective--- 1. One of the early strengths of rhl was their early adoption of easy to use setup and config features. Why dilute that strength? 2. What a general pain in the butt renaming redhat-config to something distro neutral would be. As I look at this from a fedora community member-- 1. Do I really want to commit my time and effort to something distro limiting? 2. I personally have high hopes for the fedora/redhat split. I've been using the redhat distro for year. Others have been complaining that redhat is forgetting it's .edu and .org. While, I am looking forward to a near term feature where fedora is proved stable enough to run the desktop in the labs and the non-critical systems, while critical systems move to RedHat. Suggestion for possible renaming. rhc-* I look at the strength that rpm has brought to redhat family. Most people forget the naming roots of redhat package manager. Yet, third party packers use it widely. Giving redhat a wide selection of packages to chose from when putting together a disto. I am sorry to keep kicking this dog. But, it seems important to get it out in the open and taken care of. Thanks Dave Farning
