I'm using kernel with crypto loopback from 2.4.3 patched until attual kernel release 2.4.9 with no problem except the bugs that we know. I have a dual processor pIII with gcc 3.01 compiler. I tryed to patch it to cryptoapi 2.4.7.1: I configured cryptomodules (2.4.7.1) for 512 size blocks without error and the same for the installation.Than at the last I have patched the kernel for the 512 bit size block, all without error, except for the frequently warnig of gcc 3.01. Than , after have done the setup of loopback without any error I tryed to format it with mke2fs -b 1024 /dev/loop0 and I got an hard kernel error, here the kernel message Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00001000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0000 CPU: 1 EIP: 0010:[<d0874933>] EFLAGS: 00010296 eax: cff23000 ebx: c9800000 ecx: c9800000 edx: 00001000 esi: c9800000 edi: 00001000 ebp: 00001000 esp: c6883eb8 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process loop0 (pid: 2479, stackpage=c6883000) Stack: c0bbbb80 00000002 cc291ae0 00000001 cc291ae0 cc170000 c9800000 d086c4e0 00001000 cf857000 d086c500 cff23000 c9800000 cc170000 00001000 00000001 00001000 d086e147 cff23000 c9800000 cc170000 00001000 00001000 c13361d0 Call Trace: [<d086c4e0>] [<d086c500>] [<d086e147>] [<d086e507>] [<d086e85e>] [<d086ee53>] [<c0106f2e>] [<d086ed40>] [<c01055e6>] [<d086ed40>] Code: 8b 02 83 ed 10 8b 5c 24 34 89 44 24 08 8b 42 04 89 44 24 0 Someone know what happened?
