Hi Marc,

I'm not sure what you mean by "not compiled like RHEL".

Follow [1] to enable elrepo repository and then:

$ sudo yum --enablerepo=elrepo-kernel install kernel-ml

"ml" stands for "mainline". This is the most recent mainline stable
kernel from kernel.org, it should get you 5.5.3.
