Hi

Maybe you could use an own 2.6.26.1 kernel (or the git version) and boot that up. If you see that a walkable path, reply and I'll check if the newer kernel have some newer drivers in that section. Its not that hard to change the factory kernel to mine and then I'll simply upload it to my server and give a link. (Anyway, I used HD audio chips and an SB live card, and both of em always worked (.24+ kernel(like the factory one)). Anyway, the sound level was always very low, thats because of the pulseaudio sound server, its better if you just remove it, then adjust the volume with alsamixer.

Anyway, what do you mean by "m-audio card"? I just cant figure the card's name out.

Thanks
Asuka

I couldn't get that CD to talk either.  I had a little success with their
experimental version.  The volume was very low and the sound was scratchy.
I had to plug in headphones to hear it.  It may be a problem with the
sound driver for this laptop.  If you want to try it, look at this URL,
but remember it is experimental software that they build every day.  Be
careful, and back up your data.  Select the "latest" link.
