I have bad luck building new versions of postfix routinely. Using one that's already here shouldn't be too bad though. redhat broke registrations for redhat 8.0 after a friend took a half hour and lots of eye strain to come up with a valid redhat 8.0 id number for me, so up2date if it works at all won't work smoothly. I followed instructions on web site to update pgp certificates for up2date and I'll probably have to get the new up2date off the ftp site to clear the certificates error I'm getting now. Right now localhost.localdomain goes out through starpower.net to shellworld.net that's a dialup connection and in a couple weeks will be a cable connection again with router in place. I used sendmail-address-rewrite howto to configure sendmail for this configuration and right now however postfix is misconfigured, it's trying to relay outgoing email and being refused continuously so I'll need to sort that out too before outgoing email really is outgoing. _______________________________________________ Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
