Thanks. This is very interesting. i'm glad the eightythree isn't the only 
machine of this kind. Older notetakers such as the Braille Lite are now 
available at very good prices from Computers & Assistive Technology, 
www.computerassistivetech.com . So it is now possible to have a braille 
computer for about half the price that companies like Freedom Scientific 
want. And it is probably much better. It would beat the Braille Note very 
handily also.
