problems with emacspeak-16.0 and ViaVoice on redhat 8.0

Did this work on an earlier version of RedHat from what I've read it sounds like your tcl code is broken. Maybe you could down-grade to another version of TCL.
You didn't make any changes to the TCL code (assuming that you had access to source)

well, the subject line says it all.
basically when I go to test the outloud speech server, I get this
error.
[root@borg servers]# tcl outloud
Using /dev/sequencer, device 0
Sequencer Emu10k1::0 -- type 1
Error: couldn't load file "./linux-outloud/tcleci.so":
./linux-outloud/tcleci.so: undefined symbol: __gxx_personality_v0
    while executing
"load $tclTTS/tcleci.so"
    (file "outloud" line 287)
[root@borg servers]#
any suggestions in this area would be greatly appreciated.
I can't compile flite to use eflite because my compiler dies after
trying
to build one of the object files. I might look at trying to get the
doubletalk pc to work with emacspeak.
thanks in advance.
