I suspect it could work with ViaVoice since there is an emacspeak server for ViaVoice so it should be able to interface with that. It's too bad that ViaVoice chokes with ALSA and sB Live! cards. Guess I'll need to crack the commercial OSS drivers at some point or pay the $20 to the company. Er well it's more like almost 40 because of the exchange rate at this point. I would rather pay for linux software than windows crapware. Just kinda a pain that I have to pay for a sound system possibly just because IBM can't program. I will look and see if the OSS cracks that I found will work for the currently downloadable demo. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Octavian Rasnita" <orasnita@home.ro> To: <blinux-list@redhat.com> Sent: Saturday, August 17, 2002 7:58 PM Subject: Re: yasr > Does this screen reader need a hardware sinthesizer, or it can work with IBM > Via Voice? > > Thanks. > > Teddy's Center: http://teddy.fcc.ro/ > Mail: orasnita@home.ro > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Mike Gorse" <mgorse@mgorse.dhs.org> > To: <blinux-list@redhat.com> > Sent: Saturday, August 17, 2002 11:19 PM > Subject: yasr > > > > The address for yasr (my screen reader) has changed.
