I joined because my mother (in her 80s) has decided she wants a computer, but she's concerned about her sight. When you said you're deaf, I immediately assumed you can see. Foolish on this list, I know, but it might take more than a little while to adapt my thinking to these circumstances. The name brltty didn't mean anything to me either, and I misread it.
