JANINA: This is evidence that your first floppy image came without 
speakup. So, if that original floppy came from the CDR you used to install 
Redhat, you have your answer as to why you don't have speech. It was an 
installation CD ROM without speakup. Plain and simple. I don't know how to 
make this more plain. It's not just the floppy that matters. It's also 
other installation files.

JANINA: As abofe, a talking floppy won't get you a talking install if your 
CDR is not patched with speakup as well.
PS: the append ide-scsi and speakup all go on the same line.

JANINA: And what if it did boot? Wpouild you trust such a hacked install 
to actually work? Start over. Wipe the disk and start over.
