hello, I am new to this list. I was wondering if this list is for all versions of linux, or just redhat. i am a bit new to linux, I will be getting a copy of slackware 8.0 as this was recomended for a blind user. is it very hard to get it set-up, and runing? also do I have to do alot to get the speech up, and runing. i was told that i should use something called speek-up is this hard to get working? my first computer was an amiga and so I have seen that unix like what is on my isp's shell is much the same as amigados so, isn't linux much the same as unix? thanks alot. charles Net-Tamer V 1.11 - Test Drive
