If your intent is to allow the app to be demoed with the AGL demo
platform image then a landscape layout will likely prevent that unless
the app has smart enough layout to also work in portrait mode.  That
constraint comes from the demo hardware used for ALS, CES, etc., and
that is going to stay as 1080x1920 portrait mode until at least sometime
later next year.  With respect to dimensions, with the current Qt demo
homescreen and apps the app size ends up as 1080x1488 (as the top
and bottom panels are each 216 pixels high).  It remains to be seen what
we end up with as the app display size with a new Flutter homescreen,
but I suspect it's likely to be in a similar ballpark.

[Bern] Got it, and yes initial intent working demo in AGL for investment.  Current pumpedenddevice (ped) UI is responsive covering portrait and landscape, but initial design android/iOS is specifically handheld and eyeball centric which is questionable for IVI (linux or web).
Ideally IVI/ped requires complete UI/UX redesign more like a single page dashboard so as to relay as much appropriate information at the right time, at a glance ensuring user safety is inherent within UX; which amongst other things necessitates a large/bright and vivid landscape screen.

If I forge ahead now with new ivi/ped dashboard design (no idea how long will take), and assuming with Joel's help we resolve all the AGL/ped linux build issues It should run on current AGL demo hardware although may just look odd - correct ?
best regards
