Would I want to keep the 3ware cards in jbod mode, then?  Spending 2/8
disks on parity isn't exactly great, if I went the 2*raid5 route,
striping or concatenating them together...  Actually, even that might be
quite tolerable...

Any suggestions about configuration with 2x4-port cards, then?
