I have installed a fresh copy of RH 8.0 this evening thinking I could
setup ntfs support and mount my previously existing ntfs partitions that
sit on two striped (raid0) disks. The disks are striped using the
Highpoint BIOS raid software from the controller present on the
motherboard. I have /dev/ataraid entries, but trying to mount any of the
devices (/dev/ataraid/d0p1, etc) yields no success. dmesg seems to find
and error on /dev/hde that look like this:

hde: read_intr:status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
hde: read_intr:error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
hde: read_intr:status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
hde: read_intr:error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
hde: read_intr:status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
hde: read_intr:error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
hde: read_intr:status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
hde: read_intr: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
ide2: reset: success

And an fdisk and a pring of /dev/hde looks like this:
   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hde1             1      7474  60034873+  42  SFS

If I could mount this ntfs partition I could copy off the data (60GB)
and fix it up properly. From everything I am reading this should work.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
