Hi Given that there are different configurations of hardware, all cool things such as GRUB and KDE/Gnome may not work right away and may get in the way to build successful raid. Therefore I recommended not to go for cool things such as KDE/Gnome Xconfig or GRUB until after raid setup is complete. But if you are lucky or if you want to take pains, you can choose to enable GRUB and KDE graphics during raid setup.
