Hi Try cleaning MBR, recreating in Promise BIOS (Cntrl-F at boot time) and recreate partitions all over again. Remember to always use /dev/sda (during Promise driver install) and /dev/ataraid/d0 (during ataraid install) but never individual disks directly.
