OK, I remembered what worked for me: Try changing the connection of the HDs on the Fasttrack; i.e. hde->hdg, hdg->hde. This shouldn't disturb Windows and it mysteriously made the errors go away when running linux. I have absolutely no idea why, but it worked. Also, make sure the HDs are connected to the _end_ of their respective cables. Oh, and one more thing: My FastTrack is built into the MB. The documentation in the handbook describes a different jumper setting to enable RAID0 than what is printed on the MB itself. I found the setting on the MB to be correct. I hope this helps, --Chris -- Mr. Fortune Cookie says: Unix is a lot more complicated (than CP/M) of course -- the typical Unix hacker can never remember what the PRINT command is called this week -- but when it gets right down to it, Unix is a glorified video game. People don't do serious work on Unix systems; they send jokes around the world on USENET or write adventure games and research papers. -- E. Post "Real Programmers Don't Use Pascal", Datamation, 7/83
