Thanks for the response and I will read hotmail's TOS agreement. I messed up and signed up for digest-mode, thinking I would receive a digest in addition to receiving individual messages. However, I've changed it now so that I should be able to respond properly.
If you can remember what you did that would be great! I only have WinXP on the fasttrak and linux is on the primary ide controller on my motherboard, to clarify any confusion. I had it all working with Redhat 7.1 and the promise ft.o module, so I assume it should work.

I am not sure about your problem although I do have a WAG (Wild Assed Guess). It might be that the promise drivers are writing data to the drive under Windows XP in a certain manner which is incompatible with the way the ataraid drivers expect to see the data. Years ago I experienced thisNope, it's not that.. I had the same problem, but unfortunately I can't remember how I fixed it :(. However, I now have WinXP and linux dualbooting just fine off the FastTrack -- it _is_ possible!
As for that hotmail account: Do yourself a favour and read the terms of service (and then cancel the account ;).
