Hi ! I have big problem with ataraid support compiled as module.
HW : PIII750, BX chipset + Seagate 8 GB (system), HPT370 on PCI card, 2x Seagate
60 GB disks as RAID0 (data)
SW : RH 7.2, kernels 2.4.7-10 and 2.4.17-0.13
a) When I use kernel 2.4.7-10 (from binary rpm from RH - ataraid compiled as
modules), I got this error messages :

(repeats many time).
System booting freezes for a while on message "checking root filesystem" and
"remounting rot in rw mode" (but it is on had, not RAID). After setting disks via hdparm
all seems be OK. Errors are reported from USB setting }some seconds after kernel
boot] to initialize ataraid modules.
When I use 2.4.17-0.13 kernel, similar errors appears, but they are from kernel starts
booting .. to system crash.

This errors don't stops after hdpartm setting. After copying much MB from/to ATA RAID,
the system freezes (sysrq keys don't working !) and after reboot (via cold reset) HPT
BIOS reports, that disk hdg (the first ! in array) is broken. After power off/on is all OK.
What happens in ataraid support between 2.4.7 and 2.4.17 kernels ? This modules
seems to be in 0.0.1 versin in both kernels.
And good message on the end : when atarid support is compiled into kernel 2.4.17-0.13
(not module), all seems to be working fine.
Why ataraid support behaves different in module / not module ? Is able to eliminate
mentioned eror messages ?
