That doesn't mean anything. Most sensible firewalls nowdays block pings.

Then I asked him to use www.whatismyip.com to get his IP and I used it to ping his machine, and I couldn't get any replys either. He is using Windows XP and I am using Windows 2000. We both work from residential connections.
