Yeah I tried a completely different machine, it does the same thing so I
doubt it's the hardware at all. I've tried quite a few configurations of
apache/mysql/php and it still happens. What's interesting is if I kill a
process with -SEGV mod_whatkilledus logs it, but when the actual seg
faults occur mod_whatkilledus says nothing, just the error of the seg
fault in error_log. I find it hard to believe it's the code itself
considering this is a stable released used by many people and the seg
faults only occur under load. Where did you get mod_systemstats? Google
search turns up nothing...

have you tried a COMLETELY different machine, with, say Damnsmall
linux, apache from the debian sources and see what happens. it may be
the mobo.
I have mod_systemstats. it gives an aoutput like this:
>> (time) system problem: || system accessed by: and some descrption.
i've never had a segmentation fault on any of my machines...
