mod_rewrite can do a good job of translating urls like the above into something like this:

www.geozoo.com/?Audience=kids&Subject=Carnivora
etc.

Indeed.  But that looks to me like a solution in search of a problem.
And the most important thing to understand about mod_rewrite is when
_not_ to use it.

As to the original question,

  "What wine should I drink with this meal?  I think I can drink it
   from a glass, right?"

... indeed you can.  Is that really what you wanted to know?
