NEW YORK, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Midwest Express Holdings Inc. (MEH

), the parent of Midwest Airlines, on Wednesday said it will change its
name to Midwest Air Group Inc. on Jan. 1.
The Milwaukee-based company, whose airplanes serve 50 cities, said
shareholders approved the change at its annual meeting in April. It said
it will retain its "MEH" ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange.
Midwest Express said the change reflects this year's adoption of new
names for Midwest Airlines and its Midwest Connect unit -- formerly
known respectively as Midwest Express and Skyway Airlines -- and the
introduction of a new corporate symbol.
The company said it expects to continue standardizing all aspects of its
corporate entity through 2007.=20
