Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm not sure how this topic has suddenly gotten cross-wise, but let's try to undo some of the damage. Al, I have to confess that I'm not totally sure who your comments are directed toward. That said, a couple of points: 1. If you don't receive = an off list message from David explaining some of what has gone on in this thread--and you would be more than forgiven for not being totally = current on AIRLINE history--let me know and I'll break it down (like I said, it involves at least two years worth of goings-on). 2. I don't think David = was singling you out; indeed, I think the post was intended for everyone and most definitely NOT directed at one person (well, except for a few of = the replies but that is another issue ... see point #1, above). 3. At the = end of the day, this was just a request from somebody at the other end of the mailing list. You are free to remove the second address--I do it because = I don't like getting two copies of the same message, and yes it is a pain = to remember every time--and you are free to continue to do what you have = always done. 4. On those multiple names ... again, see #1. -----Original Message----- From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Allan9 Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2003 11:26 PM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Courtesy....the facts Eveb though you posted this to the list only this is what appeared in = the TO: when I went to respond to this. The Airline List <AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; = AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; Douglas Schnell <dks28@xxxxxxxxxxx> As I previously said I assumed this was the originators intent not mine. = I appreciated the fact that the gentlemen took the time to post his = feelings. I can appreciate Dave's concern for other members who are not blessed = with high speed access. I had dial-up for a long time. And by the way there = are a lot of folks that use multiple names here. I just wish he had asked = me directly to stop something that bothered him. I might have agreed or disagreed. I try to share some of my knowledge with you. I have been directly in aviation in one form or another since 1956. And indirectly since I could barely walk. Thanks for putting up with an old timer. Now it's time to end all this BS. Why crucify Al while all he did was doing a favor and courtesy of = posting a reply ? And, in the end - you joined this forum at your own free will and if you don't like on how things operate in here, you are free to leave as you = wish and nobody is holding you hostage. None of the other 432 recipients have an issue, so why keep beating on a dead miniscule issue ? You have a problem with anything in here no matter how big or small, go complain and address the issue(s) at hand to the moderator(s) offlist = and just as you don't like to see unnecessary, unwanted and irrelevant posts = in here - I am quite certain that none of the rest on the list including = myself wish to see any of your cronic complaining on and on.... Thank you. damiross2@xxxxxxxxx wrote: Please take a look at the "to" field when you reply to an Airline List posting. What happens is that the list will automatically add the = address of the sender along with the address os the airline list. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
