There is mixed news for cola drinkers from US carrier United Airlines. Those who prefer Coca Cola are to miss out after the airline announced a new deal with rival Pepsi which gives it "global pouring rights." By May 16, Coke fans will find their favorite drink has vanished from all United flights. The choice will be between Pepsi and Diet Pepsi. Announcing what it describes as "a multi-year partnership with the Pepsi-Cola Company," United said in a statement that, from May 1, it will enter a new arrangement which includes global pouring rights and a marketing alliance." United's Larry De Shon, senior vice-president On-board Service, said: "The Pepsi-Cola Company has been a major corporate customer of United's for many years and this agreement will allow us to further strengthen our business relationship."
