RE: Broadcom drivers for kickstart

I have been able to create two seperate initrd's to use bcm5700 and other to
use e1000 drivers. I used the 7.3 initrd to do this.

u need take apart the initrd and remove unwanted drivers. Make sure u update
pcitable. Its important. U can also cheat the system by hacking the
pcitable. for example when creating initrd with e1000 driver ever after
putting the right driver in to image it still recognized the intel pro 1000
as eepro100. so in pcitable i said use e1000 driver even if its eepro100.

The downside to above method is that we need different initrd's for
different systems

I'm trying to accomplish a similiar thing, but for an Intel PRO/1000. I
found some instructions at:
http://www.linuxworks.com.au/RS-kickstart.html
for taking apart the initrd image and substituting other drivers for the
included ones. Can't say that I've got it to work, yet...
