RE: ks.cfg via http

Hi,

That is correct. But then we are talking about writing a script which
generates a valid ks.cfg file as output for the client browser. That is not
what our friend is trying to do - he is taking a working ks.cfg file and
simply renaming it to ks.cgi... (that is what it looks like). If not, than
there probably is an error in the .cgi source.

To check your .cgi source, simply load the page in a normal browser - the
output should be similar to the regular ks.cfg file. I can imagine anything
else causing problems.

Sincerely,

Martijn Tigchelaar.

This would be quite useful actually, because you can create a cgi script to
dynamically generate the ks settings depending on the ip address, or you may
wish to do some server side processing for each node, for example mapping ip
addresses to mac addresses and the like. You might want to add nodes to a
database etc...

I don't see any reason why this should not work, perhaps you want to change
ks.cgi to ks.cfg and make sure it is executable on the server. Can you
access ks.cgi through your browser? Do you get the output you expect?
