Well, you need to get it installed first. So you have to work around
the error message.
Not knowing what the error message is or why the installer is
confused, if I assume it's because of something about one or both of
the layouts on the two 750G drives.
Well after after several tries with fdisk and SL-7 I finally have
something that looks like it might work:
[bobg@box48 ~]$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/md127 686G 5.1G 646G 1% /
devtmpfs 3.7G 0 3.7G 0% /dev
tmpfs 3.7G 88K 3.7G 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 3.7G 9.0M 3.7G 1% /run
tmpfs 3.7G 0 3.7G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
tmpfs 3.7G 68K 3.7G 1% /tmp
/dev/sda1 2.0G 109M 1.8G 6% /boot
The Scientific Linux installer has the same visibility problems as
Fedora 21 Server. I'll need to rest up before trying that again. If I do
I'll try to collect some error data. I'm done for now.
Again thanks for the help,
Bob
