Right, amateurish cases like pNFS and something that's actually scalable. The NFSv3 stuff isn't maintained anymore anyway. So it should just go away. I think there's been a proposal to do that. At least in my case, there's no rpnbind statd or lockd running, so it must be at least NFSv4 by default.
