+1 -- or better: for all conflicts/problems which lead yum to error out
name the packages involved, where they come from (by key used for
signing and/or %vendor, %distribution and %packager") and which are in
the available in the currently enabled repos.

Why is a separate database needed? Yum should have all the requires
informations already ("package-cleanup --orphans" at least is able to
show them and "yum list extras" as well IIRC)
