I wouldn't say that. Fedora-perl-devel-list -> perl SIG Fedora-music-list -> music and media production SIG Fedora-security-list -> security SIG There are probably others which you could consider SIGs like mentors, fr, women etc. I think if we just relabeled these as fedora-SIG-foo it would make finding special interest topics easier.

If it is packaging details it should be in fedora-packaging list. Other details could be in fedora-devel list. In other words what do you discuss in fedora-games list that doesnt fit into any existing other Fedora lists?
Stuff that only interests people who are interested in games. Game specific questions, making a games spin, etc. Basically people who are interested in games can peruse our archives and easily find discussions related to games.
Every SIG creating their own lists would essentially reduce the visibility and participation of contributors and users.
No, there are main lists which everyone subscribes to such as packaging and maintainers, and then there are the SIG lists you can subscribe to if you have an interested in a particular topic. For example, let people interested in PHP discuss some packaging issue related to PHP amongst themselves and when they are satisfied they can then bring the discussion over to a main list like packaging for inclusion in the standards. Creating SIG lists does not reduce visibility as long as such lists are named as SIG lists, that is why I propose to rename all lists that have a special interest to fedora-SIG-*. -- Fedora-maintainers mailing list Fedora-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-maintainers -- Fedora-maintainers-readonly mailing list Fedora-maintainers-readonly@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-maintainers-readonly
