Second, lack of interest in QAing a package does not make the security
issue any less of a threat.
This is to me the real incentive for moving updates from testing to
released after a timeout. Any non-security updates should remain in
testing for those (like me) willing to forgo the QA.

As far as I can see, the sole reason for existence of the Fedora
Legacy is stability. If I were willing to forego the stability,
I'd upgrade to FC4 right now, today. I'm not willing to do that,
so I came to Legacy.
If Legacy compromises stability, then I see no need for it to exist.
If Legacy takes this move, then I predict mass exodus.
I'm not going to contribute further to this thread, unless a vote on
the future of Legacy is called for, as I think I have presented all
the argument that there is, or even should need to be.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
