I can't think why you would need a 1TB SSD. I recommend a small (say
100GB or so) SSD for the root filesystem and keeping the rest,
including home directories, on a rotating drive
well, i can't think why somebody would run anything non-RAID and the
number of drive bayes is limited on typical machines
one of my 4-drive-raid10 machines has already two SSD's and they other
two will switched next year - yes, it costs one time money but these
days you take your SSD including OS and data and just put it into the
next machine, boot and you are done
